Dear Eulene,
PTL and...what a treasure trove your web site is - important to check in more often (or cold sign up for it to be delivered!).
The poem is lovely, a wonderful message. Only thought I would speak here is, her last line misses the present reality - we ARE, even now, IN CHRIST, IN the "promised land." Christ, the Anointed One, IS our promised land - and hallelujah, no longer just "promised:, but a present reality.
So often it seems that we fail to realize who, what, where is our NOW.
Thank you, and blessings always...

Dear Eulene,
PTL and...it has been too long since I visited your website - and so, the Lord moved me there this day...and what a joy to read what He has given you to share about the lily and about roots of trees.
There is one quote about the lily (somehwere, I know...Lord willing I shall locate it one day) which says that the lily flourishes best in out-of-the-way places, protected and kept by the Lord. Deep roots are put down by the mighty oak, so long a symbol of strength. As scripture states, the cedar, too, puts down deep roots.
It is in the depths that the Lord does His work, quiet and unseen; the lily, though often unobserved, manifests the beauty of what is happening down below.
As for the dew - quiet, appearing without fanfare, is the moisture that waters all that grows. As long as there is dew (and we are the Lord's "dew"), growth happens.
Ah that I had your gift of expression, dear friend. PTL for how He speaks through you!!!
